My Heavenly Father Loves Me!

I'm sorry for posting so many videos, but I really like this one. It doesn't really have anything to do with my class, but I had "moment" with it. When I was little girl, my grandparents had a cabin at Lake Arrowhead. I would rather go there than Disneyland. Being at the cabin with my grandma and grandpa was the greatest feeling ever. When I watched this video and Sheri Dew asked, "If you've never asked the Lord how He feels about you, that is a great question," I immediately felt those same feelings I felt as a little girl at my grandparents cabin...loved, protected, and that I was capable of great things.

Cedar City Temple...Steeple is in Place!

We've been watching the temple being built. The steeple is now in place. This video is so awesome!

Being a Grandma...

Look at these beautiful children. I love being a grandmother...or "Nana," as they call me. I forgot how fun it is to have pictures ripped from coloring books hanging on the refrigerator or to have a little one ask for one more story. This week in my class we studied the first paragraph of "The Family: A Proclamation to the World." This paragraph states, "We, the First Presidency and the Council of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, solemnly proclaim that marriage between a man and a woman is ordained of God, and that the family is central to the Creator's plan for the eternal destiny of His children." I am so grateful to know that I can grow and learn with and love my family now, and that God wants us to be a family forever. It's part of His plan!

A Tribute to Moms!

Sunday is Mother's Day! This video is a tribute to mothers everywhere. There's not a greater calling in the world than motherhood. Mothers sacrifice their bodies, their time, their money, their energy, and whatever else is required and give it all willingly because of their love for a child! Mothers can come in the form of an aunt, a grandmother, or even a friend. There are so many, many great women out there who give so much. Thank you to all the mothers in my life. I love you all!

Fulfill Assignment!

The real reason for this blog is to fulfill an assignment for a class I'm taking, but I hope it becomes something I enjoy and want to keep doing. The class I'm taking is called "The Eternal Family." The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches that we can be families forever. We can be sealed together in holy temples by priesthood authority. I love my family and want to be with them forever.
